_ We continued this week with the fine details of each song. We started playing along with a metronome too. It made things interesting to say the least. For the last few weeks, we have been recording the songs at practice. Then, during the next week we all listen and make notes on any ideas we might have. The next week, we discuss any possible changes and implement some of them as we go. This is proving to be positive process. Like Logan and Jon mentioned, we’re all on the same page and we are coming up with some great ideas. I think we are making good progress.

We are finding that we are all very in tune with each other on the concepts and ideas for this album. From recording techniques, to song arrangements, to artwork. when you get down to the finer details of a project like this, it would be easy for four people to have very different views, but so far that is not the case. Last night we spent quite a bit of time going song by song and establishing our initial thoughts on the recording techniques we will be using in studio. There is quite a range ys we plan to capture different songs. Some songs we will build track by track and overdub all instruments one at a time. Other songs we are going for a full on live recording, and ohers will be somewhere in between. Certain songs require the connection as musicians to be playing live to capture the level of intensity and emotion that it requires.
logan Had our first practice geared totally towards the recording of the "American Folklore" Album. Planned out our wish/to do list and time schedule for the next three months. Just getting this agreed upon and set in some sort of document has really got us excited. Now we can focus on rehearsing and fine tuning the songs for the album.
